We had an amazing time at BluePrint 4D 2024! BluePrint 4D keeps you in the loop and up to date on the latest technology insights and product advancements for JD Edwards, PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud apps, Oracle Database & Technology and Oracle Commerce. It’s also a great place to network and have fun!
We kicked off the event at the RUG Social at the Virgin Hotel’s Manor and Pool Club. This event is always a great time to connect, meet new JDE users and have fun! Our next event was the ERP Training SIG where we shared about the digital adoption solutions available in the market place, why to use them, some of the options that are out there, along with a particular focus on Oracle Guided Learning. We had some great discussions about how customers are beginning to implement Oracle Guided Learning for their training initiatives. On Tuesday night after a great opening happy hour in the exhibit hall, we co-sponsored a party at the Rodeo Goat. This was also a fun chance to unwind from the day and enjoy some great food and company.
On Thursday we delivered, “Orchestration Key Concepts for Beginning Designers.” In this session we created a simple orchestration to explore the key concepts of Orchestration design. We then continued the process of configuring and mapping the orchestration from beginning to end. We included the use of form, data, and connector requests and additional components. This was an introductory session for those beginning to work with the Orchestrator. We included an Orchestrator Quick Reference Card for future build of Orchestrations.
For the second year in a row we participated in Quest for Good, which is one of our favorite parts of the show! We hosted kids from a local school at our booth for an inventory management exercise and some goodies! We also attended a session by the kids where they showed how they have used the money donated from Quest partners to continue to build a STEM program where they learn about AI through hands on exercises including a chance to build an AI driven car coded by the kids.
Also on Thursday we took place in a panel called, “Developing Analysts and Power Users for JDE: A Customer Discussion.” As teams grow and change the value of super users – also known as power users, key users, your ‘go-to’ team members, etc., becomes critical in the long-term sustainability of organizational understanding and tacit knowledge of your core applications. How to develop new super users, including how to identify potential candidates, can be a challenge. We joined JDE customers from MYR Group, Post Holdings, Utah Transit Authority, United Wheels and Silgan among others to discuss selecting, onboarding and developing new talent in the EnterpriseOne space.
We’re already looking forward to next year’s BluePrint 4D in Las Vegas, Nevada from June 10th – 13th at the Venetian!
