Upgrading to EnterpriseOne 9.2 continues to be a hot topic. Our friends at Smartbridge released a document this week that contains some helpful highlights. You can find the full text here. The article notes that JD Edwards has made the upgrade process easier. “This upgrade process allows customers on EnterpriseOne 9.1 or 9.0 (update 2) to upgrade to EnterpriseOne 9.2 by applying only the incremental changed objects. This upgrade “uplift” methodology reduces the amount of code/objects that are changed during the upgrade, therefore reducing the time needed to retrofit and test when upgrading.” The article also details one of our favorite modifications, the upgrades made to UDOs (User Defined Objects). “This includes user customized grid formats, Watchlists, OneView reports, queries, composite applications, and E1 pages. The new Tools release provides an easy-to-use management process to review, approve, and deploy the user defined objects, empowering the users and reducing IT overhead.”
